Biliruth I is history and not done any more for many years due to significant bilde reflux and sometimes inadequate gastric emptying.
So for pratical purposes this operation is extinct but you may still see patients who had it 20 or 30 years before.

yeah and sometimes they call it Rydigier's resection

In Billroth I the anastomosis is made directly to the duodenum, while in Billroth II the proximal duodenal remnant is closed off and the gastric stump connected to the jejunum

---------

another type is whipple surgery

i remember the pancreatic cancer pt had 23 mg/dL bilirubin he was literally a lemon color -skinned pt
it was huge to a degree it compressed the bile duct casuing obstructive jaundice

-------

today i saw sth amayzing : a pt 20 years old with history of fecal impaction , before 10 days they removed 5 KG from her large intestine and today 3 KG from her large intestine

she's under investigation

emmmm... do you mean they weight the stool!!??
Typically the daily amount of stool is around 25-300 g / day.

Constipation is cause by many etiologies and most commonly (90-95%)
it is functional constipation and that includes
1- Normal transit constipation
2- Slow transit constipation
3- Pelvic floor dysfuction

when her file took my attention i went to the doctor in charge and she confirmed it
but i didnt ask her if they weighted it i just confirmed it

i will see today wat her tests' results came out with

there was another female with fecal impaction but she was 63 and that one had a sigmoid cancer causing the obstruction

i didnt find her file in the ward , she's an outpatient now but her doctor said that she is under investigation and had another evacuation + yes they weighted it
sshe said : all her tests are normal and there was no strictures nor cancer detected , its mostly a benign cause
am intrested , but the doctor summed up fast and i didnt insist alot
