i want to make up my mind about going to the match this year or waiting to the next year

i do have about free 6-8 hours aday and free weekends
i took my freind's First aid book for step1 (he added Kaplan and Highyeild important infos to it).
i can solve USMLE World, i was preparing myself during step2 for that, so i read pharmcards and clinical microboiology made simple.
and iam done with psych and pathology already.
or do six months clinical elective and concentrate on them and have more time for step1 and graduation?

ستيب 1 كتير كتير كتير سهل و اسهل من ستيب 2 بمراحل ....بتقدر تجيب فيه 260+ بسهولة و دراسة خفيفة بس مرتاحة فلا تعجق حالك و قدم عالماتش و امورك 100%
الشباب اللي من دفعتي قدمو عالماتش 5 (4 متشو وواحد لاء) تغلبو كتير لانه ما كانو verfied and certified قبل شهر 10 (نحنا بنتخرج بشهر 5 و الشهادة بتطلع بعد اسبوع) .....
I didn't hear since our match more than 6 years ago of any syrian graduate who could apply to the match the same year he is graduating regularly, i.e. in September when he graduated in August.
You may need to check the reasons since you don't want to be isolated and find out late that the problem is what Dr. Ayyad said or something else.
I understand that it is very appealing to save time and apply the same year but likely it is not applicable

Imagine I haven't had my Certificate although i graduated in Aug 2007...
for me I'll do my best of the best to get match this year
but this highly priority for me and if i postpone the match I'll try to get more Amrican experience and if i can do research

in my plan i should have finished step2 in the past month, so i would have had extra completely free 45 days to study more So iam confused now.
one of the students this year (he delayed his graduation 1year instead of 6months) and he matched, as i heard, may be HHH can help me with this issue.

yes it is!!
go to data I added from the NRMP , about 90% of couples matched! I was shocked as I thought it would be a drawback to be a couple.
a couple from our university matched in Wash U which dosent take Syrians usually!
and for DAM
,just relax and enjoy your time and forget about me dude 
you know how things go in our university, I think you can get your certificate in late October in the best case.
but if you have cleared all your steps before Sep 1 I think you will be in a good position, someone else could give his opinion about this?
anyway you seem board to study 8 hours a day, maybe not being with you this time could be the reason
Second, apparenlty the good thing about couple match that it doesn't deprive you from the chance to match on your own. So what they do-and I just learned that recently- is they try to match you with your partner first but if that didn't work, each one of you will have the chance to match on his own. Of course, you guys are taking the risk of matching in 2 different places unless there is an option of either match as a couple or no match. Eventually, if you are really thinking about the couple match, you need to look futher into more details

I rechecked the data from this year, it says:
number of couples applied :738 (1476 individual) .Both matched: 667
one match: 47
neither matched:24
match rate: 93%
so its very good results.

IMGS PARTICIPATING IN 2009 MATCH SHOULD REGISTER FOR STEP 2 CS NOW
International medical students/graduates, including
participants/graduates of Fifth Pathway programs, who need to pass Step
2 Clinical Skills (CS) to participate in the 2009 Match (in March 2009)
are strongly encouraged to register now for Step 2 CS.
At the time of this writing, the earliest available test date at any
test center was in September 2008. As indicated in the 2008 Step 2
Clinical Skills Schedule for Reporting Results, if you do not take Step
2 CS by December 31, 2008, your result will not be available in time to
participate in the 2009 Match.
Demand for the Step 2 CS examination is already heavy for test dates in
the latter part of 2008. Additionally, test sessions at all test centers
may be subject to scheduling restrictions that limit the number of test
dates available to you. To maximize your chances of obtaining a 2008
test date,
- Apply for Step 2 CS now, provided you meet the eligibility
requirements.
- Once registered, schedule your testing appointment immediately.
- If you cannot obtain a testing appointment at your preferred test
center, check for availability at other test centers.
Registering and scheduling now offer a number of benefits:
- Applicants registered for Step 2 CS can schedule immediately if a
preferred testing appointment is available.
- Applicants who schedule a testing appointment can change the testing
appointment without cost, provided they give more than 14 days' notice.

If you are planning to take Step 2 CS but are not planning to
participate in the 2009 Match, please consider scheduling a Step 2 CS
testing appointment that is after December 31, 2008. This will maximize
the number of testing appointments available for those who must take

to participate in the 2009 Match.
Updated information on Step 2 CS scheduling will be posted to the ECFMG

In couple match a couple participates in the match as one. NRMP (the organization that regulates the match) tries to secure two positions for the couple in the same hospital or area.
