المعادلة الأسترالية AMC

المعادلة الأسترالية AMC

Twisted Evil

what do u want is what determines Australia v USA
if u want surgery then australia is a good shot as u can get it there

(Twice a year february and july)

Limited

Eye-wink Eye-wink Eye-wink

Advantage of australia over usa :
you qualified only in clinical subjects mcq(im.surgery,gyn&obst.,psych,ped.)
also the visa is more eaiser for doctors.
but unfort. you have to work as a gp untill you get chance to pass the clinical ex.
and for usa it needs lot of time and hard study to win the compition and high score!also hard visa!
so what do yuo think better now!

a guy I know is working as a GP with the australian military in Afghanistan (not the safest place on earth you know) for 10K per month
at the end of his contract he will become a citizen and will have the chance to do whatever he wants at the military hospital at melborne

hard visa!

maybe true but generally speaking if u are professional they wont reject u
all my syrian friends got a 2-year VISA with multiple entries
processing time was around one week on average

I don't want to dissappoint you BUT
Actually, the only way to come to Australia is to work as
a GP for 5 years in the countries in addition to that you need 10 years to get your provider number which is very important to work independently and have your clinic. you will find that impossible especially for people who have military services in Syria as working as a GP didn’t help to get a (Tajil
on the other hand, if you want to specialize you need to do an internship in Australia which positions are very limited and they place the Australian citizens first and then NewZeland citizens and then non citizen Australian graduates and then you are in the last category. so getting an internship is almost impossible especially in the good states. in addition there is new onset of discrimination in Australia against international doctors and all Indian doctors prefer now to go to the USA.
In addition, the AMC exams are very expensive the MCQ 2000 AUSD and the clinical exam is 2500 + 1800 airplane ticket. And the AMC exams are more difficult than the step 2 CK and CS. Don’t tell me ever that they are not difficult. and another disadvantage is that you can’t sit the AMC exams if you are medical student , you have to provide your medical degree which means you have to be a graduate which means more troubles with the military services….

yes Mr Red fox it is very very hard to work in rural area in Australia. ypu could be the only doctor in the region and you hold all the responsibility. ad if anything happens they kick you out of Australia without any hesitation and you will be the story of the Australian media until anoyher doctor makes a bigger mistake. so
don't think it is a haven there

ya mate dr houssam , I do agree completely with u but what you have just mentioned happens in every country , do you thing that they will fogive you in the States or in the UK ,
they do that not only for the immegrants , but also to the local residants , because all the people there are abided by the low >
And once you are there , they will treat you as one of them provided that you respect their low and customs>
then who told you that Australia is a rural area
?????
you are in a big trouble

I didn't say that AUSTRALIA is a rural area
I said that it is a stupidity to work in A RURAL area IN Australia

france is also a long shot to take, you have to options both of them are not quit good for arabic person to consider.
first you have the AFSA which needs you to be rather fluent in french language and you need to have your MD diploma with you, that is little comfortable and easy to think about but when you apply for the visa you may get rejected for a stupid reason of being young, male and unmarried "that was the true reason of my rejection", plus you are from an arabic country and you are not supported by a higher institution which seems the only way to go there these days.
the second choice is the french exam "the one like USMLE", and let me tell you that thousends of french people and french residents who speak french fluently and they are still unable to take it because it is extremly hard.

so keep thinking about USA as it is the best choice so far.

please note that all of the above is..personally speaking.

what encourage me to think about france >>cause i have friend study for the language plus for DES only in 12 months and he success to take anaestic resident in france!
about FSA its being for me the easy & fast way to take residency abroad even if i depend on my own for 6 month it will be great but do you think they want certificate that you practice this speciality that you gonna take it in france?
and for ppl here the all tasks of the GP doctor in rural areas in aust. is the very basic things for example in gyn. you just prescripe birth control pills nothing more . but i do not like to work as a gp!

I will have to emphasize on the point that when you apply for FSA and AFSA that doesn’t mean you are going to PRACTICE medicine, because it’s not more than

so as i said before focus on doing the states option. and take it from someone who tried other seemingly easier solutions.

i find time i will loose in french lang. learn i can do both steps of usml.beside lot of expert i read it in diffrent forums.

I have heard about a friend of my relatives who is currently in France and finished his Pulm specialty there, yet can't work in his specialty because they don't recognize it in France itself. He is married to a frensh woman and has all the legal paper, yet can't work due to lack of recognition of his specialty/education by the frensh medical system.

Thus, Be careful!
I heard on the other hand-as Dr. Tabban has mentioned-, that if you do well in the other method of getting specialty in France, you can work. However, getting there through this way is very difficult for foriegn medical grads according to what I have been told and very few get to France medical system through this way

.

i already diverted to usml and will start by step2 ck and i would to have study partner from this wondrful forum.Razz
