An 18 year-old woman comes the Emergency Department complaining of severe ligh knee right wrist and left ankle pain.She has several skin lesins on her arms and legs;some are petechial and others are vesiculpustular.

A

Disseminated gonococcal infection, one of urethral, cervical, or rectal cultures with gram stain is often - but not always - positive.
Blood can be cultured to rule out some other infectious conditions.
Joint fluid aspiration has a low yield.

it's a
the case is most likely gonococcal arthritis.....so - as saggio said -cervical culture may give us a good evidence to the the N.gonorrhoeae infection.
