I remember the day we took heart sounds
the doctor stood up

he opened the door and said : did u hear any voice
we said no
then he closed the door and said : did u hear any voice
we said yes

and if u try it closing a door makes sound while opening doesnt

so all heart sounds ( audible ) are caused by closure of the valves

Therefore easy to remember that only in isovolumetric phases all vavles are closed

this is one of the things that discreminate between medical student and non medical student
